This page is the official website of the Association of Kidney Transplant Specialists of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASKT). The “Association of Kidney Transplant Specialists” public union was officially registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan on February 13, 2019.

The Association of Kidney Transplant Specialists is an organization that brings together specialists and experts working in the field of kidney transplantation.
The main objectives of the ASKT are to promote collaboration, knowledge exchange, conduct scientific research and events in the field of kidney transplantation, as well as educate the public on this subject.
Our Mission and Vision

Membership:
ASKT brings together transplant surgeons, urologists, nephrologists, transplant coordinators, researchers and other specialists focused on kidney transplantation.

Research, Education and Training:
The Association aims to promote and
support research initiatives related to kidney transplantation, nephrology and
urology. At the same time, implementation of education and training programs
according to international standards for ASKT members and other professionals
who take initiative is one of the priority directions.

Networking Opportunities:
ASKT provides a platform for professionals to connect and collaborate. Organizing congresses, conferences and seminars to facilitate networking and exchange of ideas among members is the main activity area of the association.

Advocacy:
The Association aims to conduct public outreach to promote the
types of activities that improve the field of kidney transplantation. This includes
government agencies, health organizations and public relations.

Guidelines:
ASKT can create and disseminate guidelines and best practices for
kidney transplantation, ensuring that professionals adhere to high standards of
patient care and treatment.

Patient Support and Education:
ASKT focuses on providing support and
education to kidney transplant patients. This may include resources, support
groups, and information to help patients and their families through the transplant
process.

Collaboration:
The Association may collaborate with pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers and other industry partners to promote advances in transplant technologies and treatments.
